This is a somewhat pimpage entry.. but I think it's worth mentioning 
Urm, but first.. yeah. Life is as busy as vengeful postal workers. I'm in the process of trying to survive first quarter and getting my porfolio ready for college applications.
But anywho, here's some pimpage:
I've been a fan of this webcartoon for quite a few years. It's called "Making Fiends" and you may recognize the style to be similar to "Big Bunny" and "Muffin Films" because they're all creations of the fantastic Amy Winfrey!
I remember hearing the rumor a few years ago that Nickelodeon had picked up the series to be made into a tv cartoon.. and last weekend it officially aired for the first time! It's quite clever, and personally im thrilled to be seeing one of my favorite webtoons on tv, but i want to especially pimp the original webseries, which is free to watch online at
www.makingfiends.com
The tv series was recently delegated to air on saturday and sunday mornings at 11:30 AM on the Nicktoons network, however, which has really reduced the attention that this wonderful little series deserves.
Go watch Vendetta make fiends while Charlotte makes friends! Tee hee!

Summertime sketches
Hey everyone! My freshman year of college is just about over and you might have noticed i've finally been uploading a small fraction of the work i've done this year :)
This summer I want to keep this energy up, so I have a couple ideas that will involve YOU! ...or not, i respect your space!
1. 4 dollar 2inch watercolor paintings of WHATEVER you want! I may have to limit it to a 1 character piece, seeing as detail is limited. But how does this sound? Let me know if you're interested and I can go about setting up a Paypal account to get things rolling (if you'd like some examples, i recently put a couple small paintings in my gallery)

Hey to those who are sweet enough to still watch my journal :]
I hope everyone had a nice holiday, i definitely had a calm one, which is always good.
So I wanted to send this journal out for some feedback (and i realize that I haven't updated my galllery in a long time and hardly ever do, but bear with me) on my future plans of comicing and fanarting.
My future plans definitely include making little comics
fanart of the Venture Brothers, Making Fiends, Trigun Maximum,Princess Tutu, and Various webcomics including Kate Beaton, and Anders Loves Maria.
I would like to know if this piques the interest in anyone, or if anyone has any suggesti

Oh yeah, the art trade. I almost forgot about that. Since I couldn't remember all the details I asked I found the comment and just copy&

"...how about a handsome knight and a beautiful peasant-like (or at least a low class of some sorts) lady and....um.....they're in love. Yeah that's it. So you can draw them in any way you like doing whatever you would like them to do. Even if they're not touching or anything."
What's so awesome about this now is that you're experimenting with styles and golly am I ever excited to see what you'll come up with.
(On a side note, I just realized me and you both took similar paths. Neither of us are going to be drawing "anime/manga" anymore and are going to experiment. It's funny because I started off drawing cartoons and now I'm back to it. It's interesting how things go full circle. c: )
